Only the messages that need your attention.

The average restaurant inbox is 40% marketing emails and spam. GuestDesk automatically separates noise from real guest messages — your team only sees what matters.

The inbox your staff actually wants to open.

GuestDesk doesn't just forward every email to your team — it reads them first. Marketing newsletters, promotions, spam, supplier invoices — these never reach your GuestDesk inbox. Real guest messages do.

Smart Filtering

AI classifies every incoming email before it reaches your team. Promotions, newsletters, supplier emails, and obvious spam are filtered out. Real guest messages — reservation requests, questions, complaints — are surfaced immediately.

Auto-Routing

Set routing rules in Settings so the right messages go to the right people. Events inquiries to your events coordinator. Complaints to a manager. General questions to whoever is on shift.

Urgency Scoring

Not every guest message is equal. GuestDesk scores urgency automatically — a same-day cancellation gets flagged red, a general menu question gets normal priority. Urgent messages surface at the top.

Smart Inbox mode vs. Label mode.

GuestDesk offers two ways to control what lands in your inbox, depending on how much control you want.

Smart Inbox mode (default) — GuestDesk automatically classifies every incoming email and surfaces only the ones that look like real guest messages. No setup required. Works from day one.

Label mode — You create a Gmail label called "GuestDesk" and manually tag emails you want processed. GuestDesk only touches what you explicitly label. More manual, but gives you complete control over what gets processed.

Both modes include the same AI replies, conversation history, and routing features. Start with Smart Inbox and switch to Label mode at any time in Settings.

It learns what belongs in your inbox.

If GuestDesk surfaces something that isn't a real guest message, your team can flag it with one tap. That feedback is logged and used to make the smart inbox smarter for your specific restaurant — fewer false positives over time.

  • False positive? Tap "Not for GuestDesk" — message removed from queue instantly
  • Missed a real guest message? Apply your GuestDesk Gmail label manually — it gets picked up on the next poll
  • All feedback is logged and feeds back into your inbox's classification rules
  • Domain-level rules build up over time — certain senders always land the right way
