Resy review history. In every reply.

A guest who left a glowing Resy review two months ago deserves a different reply than a first-timer. GuestDesk knows the difference — because Guestreach already captured it.

GuestDesk reads review data — never writes to Resy

Resy emails the review. Guestreach captures it. GuestDesk uses it.

When a guest dines at your restaurant and leaves a Resy review, Resy sends a notification email. Guestreach processes that email and adds the review data to the guest's profile — their rating, any written feedback, and the visit it's tied to.

The next time that guest emails your restaurant, GuestDesk reads their Guestreach profile. Review history is there alongside reservation data — giving your staff and the AI a complete picture before anyone types a reply.

  • Resy review notifications forwarded to Guestreach automatically
  • Guest review history attached to their profile in GuestDesk
  • AI drafts acknowledge the guest's experience — not just their name
  • Negative reviews flagged so staff can respond with extra care
  • Works today if you use both GuestDesk and Guestreach

"Exceptional service, the tasting menu was flawless."

"I'd love to book the tasting menu again — do you have availability in May?"
AI Draft
Priya — we're so glad the tasting menu made an impression. We have evenings available throughout May — which dates work for you? We'll make sure the experience is every bit as good as last time.

Review context that changes how you reply.

Review Rating Visible in Inbox

A guest's Resy star rating appears alongside their message. Staff knows instantly whether they're responding to a champion or someone who had a rough night.

Written Feedback in Context

If a guest wrote something specific in their Resy review, the AI can reference it — naturally, not robotically. Personalization that actually feels personal.

Negative Review Flagging

Guests who left a 1 or 2-star review get flagged in GuestDesk. Staff can prioritize recovery conversations and the AI adjusts its tone accordingly.

Combined with Reservation History

Review data sits alongside reservation history — visit count, upcoming bookings, table preferences. One complete picture per guest, not two separate systems.

AI Tone Adjustment

A guest who raved gets warmth and continuity. A guest who complained gets care and accountability. The AI calibrates based on what Guestreach already knows.

No Setup Time

If Guestreach is already processing your Resy emails, review data starts flowing into GuestDesk automatically. No new configuration, no API credentials.

What you need to get started.

You'll need both products installed

  • GuestDesk Pro — connect your Gmail inbox and set up your team
  • Guestreach — the WordPress plugin that processes your Resy emails
  • Resy review notification emails forwarded to your Guestreach inbox
  • GuestDesk connected to your Guestreach API (one-time setup in Settings)

Both products work fully on their own. When used together, Guestreach data — including reviews — flows into GuestDesk automatically.

Setup checklist

  1. Install Guestreach on your WordPress site
  2. Forward Resy confirmation and review emails to Guestreach
  3. Sign up for GuestDesk Pro and connect Gmail
  4. In GuestDesk Settings → enter your Guestreach API URL and key

Questions about Resy Reviews.

Does this work today? +
Yes. If you're using both GuestDesk Pro and Guestreach, review data from Resy is available in GuestDesk today. No API access to Resy is required — it all runs through Guestreach's email processing.
Do I need a Resy API key or developer account? +
No. The integration doesn't touch Resy's API at all. Guestreach works by processing the review notification emails that Resy already sends to your restaurant. As long as those emails are forwarded to Guestreach, everything works automatically.
What's the difference between Resy reservations and Resy reviews in GuestDesk? +
Both come through Guestreach, but they're different data types. Reservation data (visit count, upcoming bookings, table notes) comes from Resy confirmation emails. Review data (star ratings, written feedback) comes from Resy review notification emails. Both appear in the same guest profile inside GuestDesk. See the Resy reservations page for more on the reservation side.
Does GuestDesk write back to Resy — like posting a reply to a review? +
No — the integration is read-only. GuestDesk surfaces review context to inform how your team replies to the guest by email. It does not post responses to Resy reviews directly. That's a separate workflow that may come in a future release.
